The Dalton School

After 104 years, the Ridpath Furniture store on 906 Yonge Street, Toronto, closed its doors. The historic Tudor-style building was transformed into The Dalton School, Toronto's premier English-Mandarin private elementary school for JK to Grade 8. The renovation included extensive abatement, playground improvements, and interior upgrades such as sandblasting timber posts and beams, HVAC overhaul, and energy-efficient lighting.

Classrooms were designed with glass and PC 350 frames to maximize natural light. Mandarin symbols alongside English translations label classrooms.
An awe-inspiring mural of the world's tallest peaks in the atrium helps students learn about mountains and elevations in both languages.

The 3rd floor, intended for future expansion, was brought up to code. It retained its original wood paneling, fireplace, and chandeliers, giving it a touch of Hogwarts' charm while ensuring safety and compliance.
