"Joe"

Hello, I'm Joaquim Santos

MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATOR

Always exceeding expectations

about me

I’m Joaquim “Joe” Santos — a multi-hyphenate multimedia content creator, curious explorer, and advocate for mental wellness and the power of authentic connection.

Throughout my career, I’ve found that the best projects come from genuine relationships, so I always aim to build lasting partnerships with the people and businesses I collaborate with.

With a long and rewarding journey through broadcasting and digital media, I still thrive on new challenges and continue refining the mix of skills that make me a truly versatile multimedia content creator.

super powers

I’m a self-taught creative with a hands-on approach and a love for storytelling through visual media. My work covers photography, video editing, videography, production, web content management, and Apple technology—skills I’ve developed through curiosity, persistence, and a genuine passion for the craft.

Outside of my creative work, I’m a proud parent, dog lover, and enthusiastic skier. These parts of my life keep me grounded and fuel my appreciation for balance, family, and time outdoors.

My journey hasn’t been without challenges. By age 21, I had lost both parents over a three-year period—an experience that shaped who I am today and taught me the importance of resilience, empathy, and adaptability. Those experiences continue to guide how I approach both life and creativity.

Mindfulness meditation has become central to my personal growth — reminding me to stay present and aim to become the best version of myself.

Career ACHIEVEMENT

One of the proudest moments of my career came through a project that meant far more than just work. I had the opportunity to collaborate as a Co-Producer and video editor on the documentary "Never Forget Never Give  Up", alongside my colleague and friend, Yuki Nakamura.

What made it truly meaningful was seeing the impact it had beyond the screen. Yuki, the film’s producer, presented a $60,000 cheque to support victims of the 2011 tsunami in Fukushima. Knowing that our work contributed to something tangible and compassionate made the entire experience deeply rewarding. It was my way of giving back, using the skills I care about most.

The documentary tells the story of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan’s east coast on March 11, 2011, at 2:46 PM. The disaster claimed over 16,000 lives, with thousands more missing, leaving a lasting impact on communities across Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima.
Through the voices of survivors, the film captures not only the scale of the tragedy but also the strength and resilience of those who lived through it. Their stories are powerful, grounding, and ultimately inspiring—reminding us how fragile life can be, and how much we often take for granted.
